Pagan Family

I love Jennie and Juan!! I had the pleasure of capturing their love right before little Myles made his debut in the world and they chose me to come back; only this time to capture her whole family!! I was so honored she asked!! Along for the ride were her sweet, adorable parents who have been married over 30 years, her sister, her daughter Gianna, their son Myles and the sweetest love of her life, Juan!! They kept me laughing the whole session. All while trying to throw one another in the water they managed to shape up for a few serious ones and they turned out adorable! I even got Jennie's fabulous parents to have a few portraits of themselves taken since it had been a while; let me just tell you, love has done nothing but got stronger them!! They are an amazing team! From two gorgeous daughters, to two fabulous grandchildren, their world is met!

With a love like theirs, Juan and Jennie know that they can have a love like that and that good things do last forever! My heart was melted when I can see first hand how Juan is with Myles and how much he loves being a Father and how he takes Gianna as his own and loves her unconditionally! Now the two of them can get reckless (Poor Jennie), you never know whether they are just buddies or if their is an actual father/daughter love there, but it's all there!! They know how and when to break up the two and boy oh boy do they love to goof off! Secretly I think it's a way to keep Juan young. haha, no but they are adorable!! This family is some kind of special! xoxo

Megan ~ Maternity

I have had the pleasure of knowing this Momma to-be for quite some time now!! Our Husbands played ball together and Megan and I traveled to Mississippi at one point to visit our families! When I found out her and John were expecting, I was through the moon for them! Her stunning blue eyes and gorgeous blonde locks stole my heart during this session!! I mean just look at her! With her beauty and awesome style, there is no way baby girl won't fall in those footsteps; John is going to have a lot of beauty to keep track of!!

We did Megan's sessions at the Events Of Holly Ridge Manor! If you haven't checked out this place, you need too; it is amazing! It reminds me of the movie "The Notebook," that house, that greenery; everything about it screams romantic! I felt like it fit Megan's vintage style so well. I love how she looks so blissful throughout all these photos and every time she peered down at that baby bump of hers she just gushed with happiness! I know Brice Adelaide is going to be so loved and I can't wait to meet her! Congratulations Megan and John; you are about to love your world even more when Brice enters it!!

Stefanie & Cory ~ Engaged

I have soooooo much I could say about these two right here; I could go on for days!! For starters, Stefanie is my cousin; Isn't she stunning?!! I am so lucky to be apart of a family where I grew up really close with all my cousins and can honestly say I love them all!! Stefanie has a special place in my heart; our Dad's are Brothers and we were forever growing up together even though she hated it at times!! She knows me as the annoying cousin who would show up in her NKOTB night gown (I didn't even know who they were - hey I am younger) hahaha. Well anyway, she hated it!! She got so damn mad when she grew out of it and found out her Mom gave it to me to wear! That's how it worked in the Wilson family, hammy downs all the way down the line! Duh what other way is there to be?!! hahaha

When Stefanie met Cory I knew there was something about him!! He fit right into the family like he was already apart of it!! We all just loved him from the get go and he is so sweet to our Stef!

While I was taking these pictures and even more so now that I am going through them, I just tear up with happiness because I know My Aunt Debbie is shining down (Stefanie's Mom). When I heard Stefanie's laugh throughout their session I just said to myself, "yes, she is here"; she sounds just like her I swear it!!  A lot of the times it catches me off guard; I miss her so much!! But I know come June 18th of next year she will be there shining down again and spreading her rays of sunshine as she is suppose to! gahhhh tears be gone!!

I am so proud of the woman my cousin has become! The strength she portrays; I love how she keeps her Mother's spirit alive! Every holiday and gathering she is there with what was my Aunt's favorite dish to make!! It is truly bittersweet and I know when it is time for Stefanie & Cory to have a baby, she will share those traditions from here on out!

I can't begin to tell you all how excited I am for this wedding; it will be the very first wedding I have ever been in!! I am so damn excited to be a bridesmaid it's unreal!! Next June can't come soon enough!! I love you Stefanie and Cory with all my heart!! Thank you both for letting me capture these timeless memories for you both! xoxo

Karesa ~ Senior Portraits

Come tomorrow this beautiful lady is going to be starting her Senior year of High School (Hi, I am old) haha. She just radiates beauty; from the moment I saw her walking up to me for her session, I said to myself, "she is going to make mom job easy today." I mean just look at her!!!

Her Mom first contacted me at the beginning of the Summer wanting Senior pictures done for Karesa!! I then got in contact with her myself and she was telling me how she wanted an urban, graffiti feel and I then became so excited I did a bunch of research!! I knew there was Urban places in downtown Norfolk, but I just didn't know where!! With some help of a fellow photographer and a little bit of driving around, I found some spots!! Now I just had to hope that my senior was going to dress the part; and that she did!!

Karesa plays Soccer and wanted to incorporate that in some of her pictures, but didn't want them to be to posy posy! I was loving this girl already, she knew exactly what she wanted!! I hope we got that here for her on this day!

She is not only SO stylish, but has the sweetest of hearts!! She wants to go to GMU, which I think is amazing and she has some of the biggest supporters a girl could ask for! Two of them joined in on the fun of this night, Mom and Big Sis! They were rooting her on and telling her how gorgeous she was all while calling her a nickname I thought had the cutest meaning behind it; MOUSE! I finally asked. "what's the story behind MOUSE, I gotta know?" They all just laughed and told me long story short is, Karesa as a kid used to get up in the middle of the night and sneak downstairs to the refrigerator for a little midnight snack, and every time she did, she would always sneak cheese!! And that is how she got her nickname; it just stuck with her!! How freaking cute is that?!!!

So what's a girl with a cute nickname, a sweet heart and gorgeous smile give you?? Amazing pictures to boast about!!!!

Good luck on your Senior year MOUSE!!! :)

Duncan Family

Let me just start off by saying how sweet this family is!! I have done a family session for them before when it was just 3 of them and now they have added on another perfect little girl! I knew when I saw that Kinley was going to be a big sis, she was going to be the best one for little Miss Sydney Jo. And that she was; she kept her little sis occupied while Mommy and Daddy had a little time to relive that flame they have! Sara and Kyle just celebrated yet another amazing anniversary today and I felt they were long over due for some lovey dovey portraits, just the two of them!!

So it didn't start off all that smooth this night!! hahaha I don't know what it is with me and my family sessions lately and someone always locking their keys in the car!!! YES; their keys! Poor Sara and Kyle came all the way from Moyock to Back Bay and locked their damn keys in the car!! Gosh, I felt horrible; I felt like I was bad luck because I had to then tell them how this wasn't the first time this has happened on my watch! Whoops! haha Well lucky for them, they had a super sweet friend drive to them and bring a spare key and thank god they noticed it at the beginning of the session instead of at the end. That leads me to my next topic. Within this post you will see some little baby biscuits; my favorite!! Well since they were locked out their car with all of their belongings and everything else, little Miss Sydney thought it was a perfect time to blow a diaper out!! I just looked at Sara and we both threw our hands up!! What are you going to do other than laugh and hope you don't get peed on the rest of the session?!! Nothing!! We can't make this stuff up!!

But, needless to say it ended up all working out great and they got some awesome bonding time and great memories captured. This one is one for the books!! Check out my sweet adorable family!! Happy Anniversary Kyle and Sara!!
