Justin & Mary ~ Walk Through A Wedding Workshop

This time last week my brain was still mush; who am I kidding, it still is kinda of mush! hahaha But a good mush!! I had signed up for my official first photography workshop and I was ready to take the plunge. I had no idea what I was going to walk away with in my mind nor if I could ever take what was written down on paper and turn it into a realty, but I was ready to try!

When I told Chris last year that I wanted to challenge myself to learning more and really try to expand my business, he was all for it! He gave me the encouragement I needed, along with my dad. I SIGNED UP!! Then I said holy crap, what did I get myself into? Am I even going to be prepared? Who is ever prepared?? Do I have enough experience and work load? Or am I just going to be lost the whole time?? Well either way, there was no turning back now. So a couple months later I was officially ready in my mind! I was ready to rock this!! or to be rocked!! haha

I knew I wanted to know more about lighting, I knew I wanted to better my business, I just didn't know how without all the right necessities. When I walked in and met Justin & Mary for the first time and heard their story about how they started this dream job, I started to get a little less slumpy in my seat. I started just like they did; with a dream and a vision!!

These two days spent with them were not only filled with knowledge, but joy as well. To see two people go through life of love and business and still so eager to share that happiness with other fellow photographers just struck me as grateful. Grateful to be involved and to listen to their dreams that have now turned into a realty, and to be there with other inspired photographers such as myself.

Besides all the knowledge, they had set up styled shoots for both of the days with the most beautiful couple and details!! I am sharing a few of my favorite pictures below as well as some behind the scenes!! I can't wait to implement what I have learned and I look forward to keeping on track with staying fresh with learning everything I can. Thank you so much Justin and Mary!! You two are amazing!!

Wozniel Family

It was my second time photographing this awesome family!! They are sweet as pie and I love that  when I see Loryana we catch up on old times. High school softball days, how young and free we used to be. Both of us would have never guessed we would be where we are now and I would be capturing where it all started; well when little Liam came along that is. :) He is so adorable, always a ham for the camera with that gummy - little toothy smile!! I just want to squeeze him every time I see him in pictures so when I actually get to see him in person I can't stop loving on him!!

Loryana's sweet Sister and Nephew even joined in on the fun!! It was such a pleasure meeting them; he is so well mannered and is always respectful to his Mom; take notes boys ~ try not to change, those mommas do and put up with a lot!! :)

When the holidays are over,  I am excited that this sweet family and mine will be able to do dinner and catch up and have the kiddos play. Chris and Justin know one another as well from baseball days, so we know they won't have a problem catching up; oh brother!! :)

But just in case you didn't believe me, look at this little man below!! He is so stinking cute!!

Liz & Chris ~ Maternity

Liz first contacted me right at the beginning of her pregnancy; her and Chris don't get pictures taken often so she wanted to make sure that they document this milestone on their love journey as husband and wife and soon-to-be parents. I was so eager to meet the both of them!! I felt I had already knew her just by emails and the weeks creeped upon us quickly. So a few short months later, we have us a baby bump and the most adorable duo on earth!! And not to mention their precious fur babies, that are just so eager for baby to arrive!!

These two are way better than I could ever be, because they have chosen to wait and to be surprised when baby Tabing decides to enter the world. There were moments where they were like "okay, let's just find out; we need to plan, we need a name", but the weeks came and gone and before they knew it they were on those final last weeks and figured "hey, we have come this far, lets finish it out the way we wanted it to be; surprised." I think that is so amazing and I am so excited to meet him or her!! I just know the two of them are going to be so wonderful as parents!!

Liz is already super sweet and drop dead gorgeous, so no wonder why Chris opened up his affectionate side once we got started because he couldn't stop staring at her!! It is something about the mother of your child that just changes them in some way; it's so precious!! I am so happy for you two and can't wait to see Baby T grow and watch you grow with him or her as well!! Congratulations Liz and Chris. May this final home stretch be relaxing, yet full of excitement.

Kali ~ Bridals

Now that Kali and Kyle are married, I can officially gush about her absolutely, stunning Bridal Portrait session!! As many of you may have seen through my Instagram posts this past weekend, Chris and I were able to not only witness, but capture a gorgeous wedding in the beautiful state of South Carolina!! It was filled with the most beautiful, hundred year old oak trees and all the Spanish moss you could ever imagine (pictures to come soon).

So when it came down to doing her bridals, we wanted something light and organic feeling. So Kali chose Holly Ridge Manor! This place is so stunning! This venue fit her personality and it just felt right; just look at how beautiful!

Congratulations Kali & Kyle - Wedding images to come soon!

Anna & Jason ~ Engaged

I can't wait for these adorable, sweethearts to say "I DO" next May. Their Spring time wedding is going to be filled with family and friends down by the water.

For most sessions, it takes the guys a little bit longer to warm up to the camera, but not Jason. He scooped up his future wife-to-be in those forever arms and wasn't afraid to show it!! I love when a guy expresses his love (take note gentlemen). It gets me so excited for their wedding day and to see the look on his face when he sees Anna come down that aisle! I mean just look at her, she is stunning!! I have never seen someone smile with their eyes the way she does; you're gorgeous girl!

The joy that you can see in their eyes when they look at one another gives you such a warm, fuzzy feeling inside!! The constant holding of hands and nuzzling into one another without me having to say to do so, truly gives me such an insight on how their future will be!!

Look at these lovelies!
