Michelle & Eli ~ Maternity

This adorable duo will be welcoming their sweet baby girl in just a few short weeks. I have known Michelle since high school. We had the pleasure of working our very first job together. Zutopia was it? Hahaha cracks me up because NO ONE has any idea what that is or was. Well I am here to fill you in; it was the best children's clothing store out, until their sister company didn't want them anymore and there you have it. :( Saddens me, but if I would have never gotten the opportunity to work there, I would have never had some of the best times with this sweet girl!!

When I met them both for coffee to talk about their sweet soon-to-be bundle, we talked about old times forever and poor Eli had to hear us cackle for an hour and half! Poor guy didn't stand a chance in girl talk and he's still going to be out numbered once that sweet girl arrives. But you know what they say about those daddy's and their girls? You can't keep them apart. Trust me I know, I deal with a daddy's girl on a daily basis. Can I be the favorite for one day? Geeze. Totally kidding. :)

To say I am ecstatic for these two would be an understatement. I can't wait to witness this beautiful family become a family of three. And if I am lucky enough I will get to capture her coming into this world! Fingers crossed :) I love you two! I am so happy for the both of you and I can't wait to meet baby girl!!

P.S. they have names picked out, but just want to see her sweet little face before they match that perfect name. :)

They are the best. I love a couple who knows how to have fun.

Taylor & Emery ~ Mommy and Me

These types of sessions are starting to be one of my favorites! You can never go wrong with a captured moment of you and your little's. :)

I had the pleasure of meeting Taylor and her sweet family during my Christmas minis this past year (which I of course plan to do again this year). She has the sweetest heart and loves nothing more than her growing family. When she contacted me at the beginning of this year wanting to do a session with her and her baby girl Emery, I was thrilled. Any chance a parent can share that special bond with their little one with the whole world, it should be captured!!

Emery's Mimi (Taylor's mom) was there to help and make sure things ran smoothly, but there seemed to be another little shared bond that needed to be captured as well. Emery LOVES that Mimi of hers and it just melted my heart to hear her keep saying "my Mimi, that my Mimi". So maybe next time; right Mimi? :)

But you can for sure see the love between mommy and daughter here. Emery is going to be just like mommy!! She loves dressing up and wearing big, chunky, costume jewelry! What girl doesn't? :) We even got daddy in on the session at the end! And you know we had to sneak in a couple of the two of them and where it all started. :)

How sweet are they?

Tatum ~ Easter

This post is pretty amusing actually. We literally could not decide what outfit to place our sweetest girl in so we did it three separate times. Can we say crazy? hmmmmm Who am I kidding, Chris and I were actually just fighting as to who took the better pictures; and when I went away for a session that evening he took her back outside in a  little jumper; as I pulled into our driveway I see him across the street crouched way low to the ground trying for the third attempt! I have to admit I was a little pissed; are you serious? COME ON DUDE!! Then he couldn't stop sneezing because of his allergies and I was thinking to myself "that's what you get, fool!" hahaha.

So with that being said; here are just a few little piccys of our Tater bug. It is just so crazy that last Easter, we were waiting so anxiously to find out what we were having and here we are a year later celebrating every holiday as if it were our last, and frankly that is how it should be in my eyes! Never miss a moment or life will pass you right on by. I can't believe she is 7 months already. Every day is a new adventure and we can't wait for the next silly little holiday just to compare pictures from the last just see how much she has changed since then.

gahhhhhh <3

I love you Tatum EverLee

River Jace ~ Turns One.

It was just the other day it seemed that little River was just another sweet bun in the oven, Mason was still the only boy,  and Megan and Jon's world was about to become even more full of joy.

I have known Megan and Jon since High School and I love that she always includes me in her family mile stones! You can see how much Mason loves his little brother during this session and how silly they are; it keeps the love alive! I love big families and that is something that Megan and Jon want, so needless to say I am so excited to keep witnessing this family grow!

Check out how adorable little River is. Those cheeks and that gummy smile get me every time!!

Happy First Birthday RIVER!!!

Ohhh a mother of boys keeps things entertaining :)

How flawless is Megan?!!  I mean seriously!!!

Colleen & Juan - Maternity - Marcelo turns one

I don't know how this momma does it!! She has a sweet baby boy who just turned one and another little boy who is almost here. How she planned a birthday, got a room ready for a baby brother all while still being a mom is beyond me;  but she has. I have had the pleasure of capturing Colleen when she was pregnant with Marcelo, which seemed like it was just yesterday. I have also done a few family sessions for them as a family of three and I CANNOT wait for them to now become a family of four.

Colleen was so nervous that baby Lorenzo was going to make his debut on his big brother's first birthday, but being almost 38 weeks now he is still staying cozy. Although there is nothing wrong in sharing a birthday, just like any mom she wants her first born to always feel special and have his own birthday with all the celebration that comes along with it. And there is nothing wrong with that.

So what better way to put the two together and celebrate Marcelo's first birthday as well as that sweet bump. You may think momma is going to have her hands full, but so is daddy!! Juan was just gearing up to take Marcelo out to play with the big boys after he had, had his first steps; now he has to get ready for a little tag along. :) He is going to have a blast with those two boys. I can see it now, him and those two boys giving momma a run for her money. They will all play hard during the summer days, but will all wind down for that momma loving on the couch as they watch a movie as a family. It makes my heart skip a beat thinking about having a family like that. I can't wait to witness this sweet family continue to grow. Make sure you stay tuned after baby Lorenzo makes his debut, because I can't wait to capture those sweet baby "coos and ahhhs."

When Lorenzo arrives we had already decided to use The Studio of Hampton Roads for his sweet moments, but the weather was not in our favor for Marcelo's first birthday nor Colleen and her sweet bump. So we combined the two of them and I think we lucked out for an even sweeter moment. I am so grateful for families such as these. As long as they have one another they don't care how their love is captured.
