Darley & Brian ~ Engaged

I have known Darley since we were kids!! I remember when us little girls would talk about the days where we would say "I DO", and the day where our dreams would come true and we would be a "princess" for the day!! hehehe weren't we cute?!! Now look at her, about to live that dream!! we even might have taken those childhood memories to the next level, where we partied our butts off in college when she attended JMU!! haha No comment.

Her and Brian are the sweetest though!! They have been together since college and he proposed to her this year at a JMU when they were featured on College Game Day! Brian knew it was the place where he needed to propose; he had planned on proposing, but didn't exactly know how he was going to do it. So when they found out College Game Day was coming to JMU, they booked tickets and went to their old stomping grounds!! It was perfect!! It not only brought them back to where they spent most their earlier years, in young love, but it made another forever moment in their hearts!! I can't wait to witness their love journey grow, they are such a beautiful couple and they deserve every ounce of happiness!!! xoxo

Danielle & Mike ~ Holiday Session

ohhhh you know just over here photographing my favorite twin fashionistas and their adorably cute Mom and Dad!! I just love this family!! I hold all four of them so close and dear to my heart! I have known Danielle & Mike (Cote) for so many years now, they are just like family. I captured their maternity photos, a little lifestyle session once Harper and Ella were here and now a Holiday session!! Poor Cote having to suck it up and deal with Danielle and Me and our crazy props and crazy cooing noises we do to make those precious babies smile, all while he just laughs at us!! I haven't quite figured out if he is just down right embarrassed or just thinks we are crazy!! It's safe to say it's both scenarios, but either way this dude is in it for the long haul!! It's crazy decorative sessions from here on out my sweets! Get used to it! And being that you are extremely outnumbered in your household, it's a safe bet just to nod your head and keep it moving!! hahaha JK he wasn't bad at all. Frankly he should be used to it by now, even before him and D had those precious babes!!

Check out all this cuteness below and look how stunning Danielle always freaking looks, I can't take it!! She literally just took her hair out of a bun people!! A LOW MESSY BUN!! How in the world?!! My crazy lion mane would be everywhere!! Anyway, check them out and all their glory and just look at those two precious angel babes, I can't wait to until all of our little ladies are shopping together!! gahhhh xoxo

Kali & Kyle ~ South Carolina Wedding

A couple weeks ago Chris and I took a trip to the beautiful state of South Carolina, which was nothing out of the ordinary for us because my in-laws live in Charleston so we visit there often. So when we found out we were going for Kali & Kyle's wedding we got super excited, but nothing prepared us for the beauty we were about to drive into!! I mean good god this area in SC had all the Spanish Moss you could dream of! IT was absolutely STUNNING!!!

When Kali contacted me a while back about booking me for their wedding, I was nothing but honored! I had known Kali for a while now through mutual friends and we have been talking all kinds of details leading up to the big day!! When the day finally came we couldn't wait to get down there!! Kali and & Kyle were surrounded by so many family and friends who all showered them with LOVE.

Everything about this day was perfect and WE wish them a long life full of laughter and love!! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Moss!!

Jordan & Max ~ Engaged

One of best friends for 15 years is getting married y'all!!! I am so excited that I get to shout it from the rooftops now! All throughout college we knew her and Max would find their way back into one another's arms; and I am so glad they did!! She was coming home for Thanksgiving already and I said "there is no better time for this", let's take some pictures!!

I had them scheduled just for couples portraits when they came home, and I thought this session was going to turn into another surprise proposal! haha wishful thinking.

Jordan and I had booked the session and Max literally called me within days after we scheduled it. I was like "please tell me what I think you are going to tell me", he knew I wanted to capture the proposal, but that was not what was up his sleeve this time!! Yes, he was going to propose, but he was doing it up in DC where they live and wanted to invite us for it! ugh, I was so bummed when I couldn't make the actual proposal, but boy oh boy was I excited when I got to capture their engagements instead!! WIN!!

Jordan was in my wedding almost 4 years ago - which seems like so much longer ha, but I just couldn't contain my excitement for these upcoming months of planning for her big day now!! I just can't wait!!

I love you Maxwell and Jordan!! Thank you so much for letting me capture this special milestone in your lives!! Let the planning begin!!

Taylor & Jesse ~ Proposal

If any guy decides to open my blog, I hope they read this one in particular!! Take notes gentlemen!

This day made me so smitten and made me love what I do 10 x more!!

I get to work with Taylor and her beautiful soul during the week and it was such an honor when she messaged me at work one day to ask me if I could take some Fall photos for her and her boyfriend at the time, Jesse. She said she had begged him and finally got him to agree that he would indeed take pictures; we were winning!!

Jesse then took it upon himself, with all his excited nerves to message me and arrange the proposal he had been waiting to for!! She was never going to guess, because remember - she had to practically pull teeth to get this session - so she was never going to find out!! Look who's winning now!! hahaha After several weeks of how we were going to plan this out, the day finally came and I think I might have been just as damn nervous as he was and I wasn't the one proposing. #hotmess

They both wanted their session to be someplace different, which I of course loved from the jump. They picked this old bridge in Chesapeake that rarely had anyone go across it. His plan was to propose on the bridge, right in the middle. Well of course the day we went there, everyone and their mom wanted to drive over it that day. SO I couldn't have him propose there and then have the moment get ruined because they would have to rush off the bridge before they became road kill. yikes! So after several eye contacts Jesse and I had we decided it was best to do the proposal under/beside the bridge. It was beautiful down there by the water... everything was beautiful besides the legit road kill we had to work around!! Yes people, DEAD DEER CARCASSES!! How romantic right?!! Well beside the smell we were doing this!! Jesse got down on one knee and we both lost it!! hahaa Taylor and I both crying while I am clicking away; I was just so happy for them!! I just wanted to jump in and squeeze them both!! eeeeeeeeeee!!!

We then ended their session at a house that was built in World War II that Jesse's Grandfather grew up in!! It was perfect! It was fitting!! Even their adorable pup Gunner was in on the fun!! Ohhh just check out this prettiness already, I can't take it anymore!!

Congratulations Taylor and Jesse!!!
